2.1 Managing volunteers

It doesn't matter if you are a volunteer or if you manage volunteers… it's not a question of “roles” but a question of “what”!!

In this unit we will explore some methodologies and get some tips on how to manage volunteers. Since this ‘role’ can be very different depending on the structure and purpose of the organization, what is described here must be accompanied by a face-to-face activity (lasting approximately 2 hours).

2.2 The Fair Trade shop

When you walk into a fair trade shop… what do you think people do to handle it so friendly? Are they professional salesmen... or just "passionate volunteers"?

In this unit we will explore some aspects of how to volunteer in a Fair Trade shop. Since the management of the various aspects within a store is learned by doing, what is described here must be accompanied by face-to-face activities (approximately lasting 2 meetings of 2 hours each)
